Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your mayor. Bay Village is a special community defined by its wonderful people, beautiful parks, excellent schools, and scenic lakefront. Together, we have accomplished a great deal over the past eight and a half years, but there is still important work to do. I am asking for your support so we can continue building on the strong foundation we have laid.

When I took office, I pledged to preserve the integrity of our city while seeking ways to enhance its livability. We’ve focused on meaningful investments in our parks, lakefront, sewer and road infrastructure, and business districts. To support these efforts, we developed an external funding strategy that has yielded strong results. Our team has built lasting partnerships and successfully pursued funding to improve our city. Here are a few highlights:

• Secured over $41 million in external funding through collaboration with federal, state, regional, and local agencies, along with competitive grants and private investments.

Investing over $17 million in 2025 toward sewer and road improvements, including two major projects to bring Bay Village into full compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act.

Prioritized public safety by investing in police and fire personnel and equipment, and established our first School Resource Officer to help protect our students and families, continuing efforts to combat substance abuse and support mental health initiatives.

Demonstrated strong fiscal management- delivering balanced budgets year after year, maintaining our Aa1 bond rating, and funding both operating and capital reserves.

Advancing Cahoon Park and lakefront improvements- enhancing resident access to Lake Erie, managing erosion, and preserving ballfields and green space for future generations. Engineering and permitting for the lakefront project have been submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for approval.

I believe the government exists to serve its residents—and that belief guides every decision I make. My team and I rely on your input to identify priorities, and we are committed to transparency and open communication.

While I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. We are finalizing plans to renovate the Bay Village Fire Station, originally built in 1972. We’ve also welcomed several new businesses and restaurants which are helping to strengthen and serve our community.

This is an exciting and important moment for Bay Village. To continue our progress through 2025 and beyond, I respectfully ask for your support in my re-election this November.
